MCLB Futurity / Open Show Info
Welcome
Welcome to Sundown Farms and B-K-L Show Lambs where our goal is raising quality sheep for showing club lamb projects or for commercial breeding. We have incorporated some very good genetics from some of the top breeders, and we continue to work on making improvements to our program so we can offer some of the best sheep around. Currently we have a solid ewe flock of about 50 and are very excited about the ewes we added this past year. We also added a new buck to go along with our current sires and are anticipating some very good show lamb prospects. Our new 2012 lambs are starting to arrive and we will post those pictures as soon as we get them. Take a look and see what you think. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. Thank you for looking!!
Our small herd currently consists of Schminke, Wattonville, Knop, Hayes, Hindman, Doty, Medhus, Knapp Sisters, Wright, Thomas, Tomlin, and High Hills bloodlines. Some of our ewe base sires include: Kitty, Bad Habit, The One, Radio, Mighty Duck, Iron Mike, Maverick, Blue Dog, Copper, Casper, Dundee, I-Beam, Cabaniss 777, Jam, and Captain. Our new buck was bred by Hindman Club Lambs (son of Stud Duck) and our other sires are out of Rockstar (Hayes Show Lambs) and out of Monkey (Middlesworth Club Lambs). We would like to thank all the breeders that have given us the opportunity to purchase some very nice sheep.
We are members of the Missouri Club Lamb Breeders Association and our lambs are eligible for MCLB activities. If you see something you like or have any questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or email:

We are located in Hopkins in the northwest corner of Missouri - about 15 minutes north of Maryville. We have raised sheep for about fourteen years and switched towards raising club lambs when our daughters joined 4-H and wanted to show lambs in 2009. Last year was the third year for our oldest daughter showing 4-H lambs and the second year for our middle daughter. We have enjoyed this family venture and love working together with our sheep. We would like to thank everyone that has helped us get started with raising and showing lambs and that continue to support us. We have learned from so many people and continue to learn, and have also created some very good friendships along the way, while looking forward to more in the future.
